Learning is perfecting
as being a member in a community, everyone has his own responsibility to make it better. To make it, we should learn more about others and learn as wide as we can so that we can perfect it in each aspect.Also, even if a little Chile has his own mind, but it bases on his living environment. Human is born as a "blank slate”, only the knowledge from the circumambience can shape our mind.
There are uncountable and various communities in the society; there is not a perfect community too. Everyone has its forte and shortcoming. So it is necessary to learn about other communities to perfect ours. For example, every day I read the news, it is a way to learn about other communities and get the information we need. Sometimes it does us our community.Also; it is more direct to learn from other country. Country is more complicated than a community which we concern the most. And it is easy to find "stars or dots" from a country because country's characteristic is obvious such as U.S is more democratic but cultural than China. North Korean is as radical as Iran. People can judge if a country has done wrong and why it did that from different aspect. Through the analysis we did, we can get more and deep views and syncretism it with those we have gotten right now.
We can get knowledge through learning. As John Lock believed, human was born as "blank slate”, it means we know nothing as a new-born baby. While we are born, we learn things in the first second, it is amazing. How and why new-born babies want to learn? It is human nature. In this complicated society, we get so many information everyday, and we need to select what we need so that we won’t get confused and form a wrong mind. Although we can filtrate information ourselves, it doesn't work all the time. There are crimes everyday, those cases result from their education and what types of information they get in the daily life. If a teen often stays with some immature and fainéant friends, they are getting bad information even though he think he has take out the bad things; it means people often form mind without realizing it. So different types of knowledge can affect people to be good or bad, conservative or radical.
In a short, learning from others is the best way to perfect our community if we can filtrate information well. In the same time, we can learn things from different aspects from a country or other communities easier and deeper.
