What Make Literature Timeless


In this world,there are uncountable books can be seen in the bookstores every day;however,the timeless books are only a small part of them.What is the common element included in these timeless books?

In the middle ages,the famous books was always finished while the society was reforming or changing.There are always some deep meaning in these books.For example,the books written by Shakespeare always show how the coruption deal with the society.meanwhile,it can be what the people think in that specific period.Shakespeare's opinions in the books not only arose the people in the same era but also show the facts in his time to following generations.So,it is no doubt why his literatures are still famous in this modern world.Literates study his books because of its meaning,what teacher teach and what students learn is it meaning throughout the books.Obiviously,without the meaning in his books,that would be some pieces of waste paper.

It seems all the books have their own meaning,however,not all the meanings can make the books timeless.At present,many books sell well because of the meaning or the knowledge in it,but they can't be timeless books,they will be cleared away from people's mind little by little.Why it would happen?It is hard to identify what meaning in the book can make it timeless.In my opinion,it must reflect the phenomenon in its specific era,and it must deliver its meaning with great literary value such its creative story,beautiful sentencens or visual figures.

Generally speaking,not all the timeless books being timeless depend on the meaning throughout the book,but with the fantastic literary value.It is no doubt that the books have deeply educative meaning can be last forever,humans' progress are achieved from it in a certain extent.



In friday class,we talked about our feeling about Maya Angleou's speech last night,it seemed not much people inspired on her speech,maybe it is kinda boring for us.Then we talked about what make literature timeless again.I still think the meaning behind the book makes it timeless such as Confucius,what he wrote was with not much literary value but with a lots of meaning in it,so it last since now and spread over the world.

My viewpoints about this essay.
This is really a interesting essay ,because what we see and hear always are to decrease using fossil fuel.However,this essay leads us to a new viewpoint,to show why his standpoint sis right.But I don't agree what he says in this essay."Data cheats sometimes",it is the feeling I thought of after reading it.As a person live in this world for not a short time,I have enough evidence to support global warming caused by carbon dioxide.From the data and model we get,it is the main reason even though what he get from sattlite and bloons are different.Furthermore,he said climate changing is common in this earth and will benefit us.What do you think if you have seen the island countries was flood from the rise of water,and so many species become extinct because of the degree?So,I think,seeing is believing,we can't conclude all the things from the data or from the history.
Another thing I want to talk about is the benthamism the man is.From all of the paragraphs,what he supports always concern about money.For example,he thinks we shouldn't take the global warming serious because it is costly.In my opinion,if everybody think in the way likes him,the environment will become worse for sure,in addition,people will become more selfish for they always use money as a standard to consider things.To make far-reaching influence,we should not consider things for temporary profit only.I think seeking in the Mars is a very important problem we should figure out,for example,the sources are becoming less and they will be used up in not a long time.If we don't get more imformation about outer spaces,what can our offspring do with that,just wait to die?
Although I don't agree with this essay,there are some viewpoints still useful ;for example,using other measure machine to study things,think over problem in the other side.

My reaction about "Why We Don't Give a Damn"

When I finished reading it,my feeling was"It's exactly what I do and think everyday ."Although global warming is an unquestionable and devastateing problem now,and people also express their concern about this ;however,it is still increasing quicklier.Even if I am teenager,I have already known human's selfishness .In our daily lives,we often discuss about some political problem or environmental problem seriously,but what we do is totally different from what we say and think.In the other hand,people would like to shrik their responsbilities to the famous people,because it can decrease their guilty through this.Bush is a typical example.People comdemn him for his insisting of using fuel fossils while he says he'd like to improve the environment.Also,through the global warming ,we can find out what does so-called professor do .Many professors publish books or announce news just to please the readers,make themselves more authoritative;few of them study what we need virtually and come out with some solutions to that. Moreover,polician often emphasize they will manage to solve the environmental,While it is a rubber check after their victories.
It seems impossible to change humans to modify their own mistakes,yet it is changing at present.More and more people devote them selves to protect the environment while others are advocating all over the world.These power influnce the goverment at last;for example ,European countries are protecting the environment in practice.Meanwhile,the devoloping countries start to consider environmental problem as their states policies.In China,the goverment make effort to stop the pollution increasing from factories by laws.Essentially,to solve this self-implicted problem,everybody should take part in it.Not only to advocate it but also to do it ourselves.Stop complaining about others,find the problem from ourselves,it is the only way to solve the problem essentially.





What else,we talked about noble savagery(I am not sure whether it is right or not.)
In my opinion,people have shortage and strongpoint,sometimes they are evil,but they may be angle while you hate them.It depends.

Today is parent's open day,we only have 20minutes for each class,I like it.
In English class ,we reviewed what we have learned so far because there are 2 guests from Germany.In the end of the discussion,we talked about China economic.Lucar's father said there is no rule in China,that was not entirely true.In China,although there is incomplete law,many factories want make money through jerry-build instead of increse their brand reputation and invention.But everything is changing in China,more company follow the forrign succesful ones to build up their power.

We were used to have class outside now.

We have talked about written language for 3 days.Today.MR Moddax's limitless question lead us to talk about if there is objective news in this society.In my opinion,there is. The news made according to the true information is always objective.It report the true,reader can't get any personal emotion and political color in it.However,doesn't every media make it.Most of the media report things which is good to them.Even though the news is negative to them original,but they will change it so that the news seem not nagetive to them and reliable.To change it ,the righteous media train the reporter more rigid,to make them report things without their own emotion although it may decrease auditorium's interest.

It was the third outside class.
First,we had a quiz.It might not be a quiz,for it was one question only.Why I would think MR Maddox would ask that question?Because when we predict something,we often predict it with our experience.For example ,I would think of that because in last two weaks quize,It happend.
Then we talked about which kinds of news were ture and how it became ture for us.It depends.In my opinion,we thought something was true as we knew the news source was authoritative or it spreaded around so that we was influnced to consider it true."History was wrote by the victory."I believe this saying always.In all countries,no history books don't say their uptodate goverments were unsuccessful or wicked.To know more about the trues,we shouod look for news from different places ,futhermore,practise is the only way to justify things.

What a cold day.
Today,we talked about the written language and oral language.Most of us thought written is better because it make things endless and easy to understand.Also,it is more easy to see the things behind the paper than think about it in a short time during speaking.However,there are some advantages in speaking English.For example,when our precessdors told stories to their children,it might contain just one meaning.As the society changed and people's mind were changing,they always came up with new morals for the stories and told them to us.This kind of change make the story rich and meaningful.
Deeply talking,we talked about what kind of news we get is more truely and how it became the best.Through that 2 questions"Why USA invaded ERAQ " and "Did USA lose the Vietnam wars". I realize that why we believe something is true mostly affected by the way we get the news.

1.Why all the creation stories have same elements?
It shows that creation stories created according to some warranty.The stories creator knew water is must for humans,so we are made of it.Meanwhile,they were created for some reasons.For example,It can be the means to control people's mind and behave themselves.In some religious area,it even can improve the ruler class's power and authority.

1.What's the creation story in our country?

There are 2 the most famous in China.Thinking about the story,it must be created by human them selfves without ancestor's record.Because they are created with scientific foundation .For example,in every story,water comes first.It is easy to be considered as artificial story.

2.The common element in almost creation story are:a powerful creator,water,animals.

3.I think in these cases,animals are represented as people because they were given personalities in stories.It might imply that animals are the example of ourselves.We have the same characteristic with them,and we must learn how to avoid the tragical things happen to them.
